The next stop for cricket’s fastest format, T10, is in Zimbabwe for the Zim Afro T10, which will start on July 20 and end with a grand final on July 29. All of the games will be played in Harare.
As a co-owner of the Harare Hurricanes, Sanjay Dutt, one of India’s most popular Bollywood stars, will be going on this trip. Dutt and Sir Sohan Roy, the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Aries Group of Companies, will own the business together. This will be the first time the team does something in cricket.
The Zim Afro T10 is the first time franchise cricket has been played in Zimbabwe. Five privately owned teams will compete for the top prize. The Durban Qalandars, the CapeTown Samp Army, the Bulawayo Braves, and the Joburg Lions will be the other four teams.
On July 2, there will be a big event in Harare where the players will be picked.
Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Mr. Givemore Makoni said, “It makes me very happy to see some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry support the Zim Afro T10. It tells me that the tournament is being well received.” Now, all that needs to happen is for the Harare Hurricanes to do well in the event next month.”
“Cricket is like a religion in India, and as one of the biggest cricket countries, I think it is our job to spread the game to every corner of the world. Zimbabwe has a long history of sports, and being a part of that and making sure people have fun is something that really makes me happy. “I hope the Harare Hurricanes do really well at the Zim Afro T10,” said Harare Hurricanes Co-Owner Sanjay Dutt.
“I’m happy to work with Sanjay Dutt as we form the Harare Hurricanes for the Zim Afro T10.” It is the most entertaining and daring style in sports, and this partnership gives me a chance to live out a dream from my childhood. Sir Sohan Roy said, “May the best team win the Zim Afro T10.”
Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, founder and chairman of T Ten Global Sports, said, “Sohan Roy and Sanjay Dutt playing together is a dream team for me, and I’m thrilled that they’ve picked the Zim Afro T10 to start their cricket careers. Sohan and Sanjay are both very energetic and good leaders, and I’m sure that their team, the Harare Hurricanes, will show that at the Zim Afro T10.”
