Hardik Pandya likely to play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024

Hardik Pandya is likely to return to Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier 2024. In what could be the biggest trade in the history of the league, the captain of Gujarat Titans could be heading to five-time champions.

According to Cricketnext.com, Pandya’s return to MI could be a direct swap of skippers, which means Rohit Sharma playing for GT or Jofra Archer could make way for the all-rounder before he becomes Mumbai Indians’ captain in 2025.

It may not be easy for MI to see Rohit’s back as he has led the franchise to five titles.

MI may request Hardik to join the team in place of Archer before taking over as captain from Rohit.

Hardik started his IPL career with Mumbai and was a part of four title-winning campaigns in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

He joined Gujarat in 2022 and went on to win the tournament in his first season as their skipper. Pandya to the franchise to final in 2023 as well.

The deadline for the IPL transfer window is November 26
