Is Kieron Pollard retired?

The big West Indian was an integral part of Mumbai Indians in the IPL from 2010 to 2022, helping them secure their 5 IPL titles, and in the IPL 2023 took up the role of a batting coach after retiring from the IPL.

He will be captaining the MI New York team in the MLC season 1. Earlier this year, he had captained MI Emirates, Mumbai’s sister franchise in the ILT20 league in the UAE, a team in which Trent Boult and Nicholas Pooran also featured.

Apart from Kieron Pollard, the MI New York team is filled with other glittering stars such as Afghanistan’s superstar and serial T20 match-winner, leg-spinner Rashid Khan, along with the power-hitting Nicholas Pooran, swing-king New Zealand seamer Trent Boult, hard-hitting rising star Tim David, and swing pacer Australian Jason Behrendorff

This is not all: further, the MI New York has also roped in South African stars young batting sensation Dewald Brevis, quick-fire fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and veteran all-rounder David Wiese to bolster their squad.

Kieron Pollard is one of the sought-after T20 players in the world and he has immense experience in the shortest format of the game. His presence in the MLC will enthral and entertain cricket fans in the United States of America. Watching his exhibit his skills will be a lifetime experience for the American cricket fans who will witness his power and talent up-close for the first time in such a big tournament.
