Former Pakistan skipper has slammed Bangladesh for preparing poor quality wickets for the T20I against the Men in Green, which the home team lost. The visitors thrashed clueless hosts by a margin of 3-0.
The veteran took to Twitter after Pakistan’s win in the third and final T20I of the series. Afridi urged Bangladesh to prepare better wickets if they want to achieve success in international cricket.
He suggested Bangladesh have a lot of talent but if they continue to play on such pitches, their perfomance will continue to take beating in overseas conditions.
“Bangladesh really need to do some soul searching, do they want to win on such pitches and give ordinary performances abroad and in World Cups? They have great talent and passion for the game but desperately need better pitches if they want to progress.”
