Out of form, too old and slow – Candice slams critics for targeting David Warner 

Australian opener David Warner won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the T20 World Cup 2021 as Aaron Finch’s side won the title for the first time in their history. Warner scored another fifty in the final and the opener’s wife Candice wasted no time to slam his critics.

The southpaw was first removed from the captaincy of the Sunrisers Hyderabad and then was dropped from the Playing XI as well.

Taking to Twitter after Australia’s win over New Zealand in the title clash, Candice mocked Warner’s doubters for questioning his place in the team. “Out of form, too old and slow! @davidwarner31,” Candice wrote.

David Warner, who scored 289 runs from 7 matches, won the Player of the Tournament award. He accumulated his runs at an average of 48.16 and a strike rate of 146.70 in the tournament.
