Axar Patel was the star of the third day against New Zealand. He took five wickets in the first innings to restrict the Kiwis. It was Axar’s fifth five-wicket haul in only fourth Test match.
He had a conversation with R Ashwin after the match. Axar has a ball in his hand with which he took a five-fer.
“34-6—62-5, IND vs NZ” was written over the ball. Interestingly, the date on the ball was written 10th October 2021.
Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer trolled Axar. “The only mistake Axar Patel made today was putting wrong date on the match ball. 27th November hai bapu @akshar2026 #INDvNZ,” tweeted Jaffer.
Axar blamed Suryakumar Yadav for the mistake. “It wasn’t me… @surya_14kumar wrote this!” wrote Axar while reacting to Jaffer’s post.
