India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal wants to play Test cricket for India. For him, red-ball cricket is the best format of the game and is important than ODIs and T20Is. Chahal, who has been a regular for Team India in the shorter formats, has failed to find a place in Test squad.
“It is my dream to represent India in Test cricket. For me, red-ball cricket is more important than ODIs and T20Is,” he said.
Despite his magnificent performance in the second leg of the IPL, the leg-spinner was not considered for the ICC T20 Cup in the UAE. Indian spinners struggled in the first two matches against Pakistan and New Zealand and the team failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
After India’s below-par display, Chahal was recalled for the T20Is series against New Zealand, which is scheduled to be played from November 17.
He recently opened up on the T20 World Cup snub. Chahal didn’t eat properly for three days after he was not included in the squad.
