Team India: Indian batsman Manoj Tiwary has announced his retirement from all format of cricket. Indian batter announced this by sharing a heartfull note in an instagram post on thursday, 3rd august.
This game has given everything
In an instagram post, Manoj Tiwary wrote, “Goodbye to the game of cricket. This game has given me everything, I mean every single thing which I had never dreamt of,starting from the times when my life were challenged by different forms of difficulties. Will ever be grateful to this game and to the GOD, who has always been in my side throughout”
In his statement, Manoj Tiwary expressed gratitude to his coach Manabendra Ghosh, who was like a father to him. He gave special shoutout to his parents, wife Susmite Roy, fans and every individual who played a great role in his journey.
A look at Tiwary’s cricket journey
Talking about international cricketing journey of Manoj Tiwary, He represented India in 15 matches which includes 12 ODI’S and 3 T20. With one hundred and one-fifty, He scored 287 runs in 50- over format and he manage to score 15 runs In 20- over format.
Manoj Tiwary played his last international match on july 15, 2015 against Zimbabwe which was 50 over format. after that, He dropped from indian squad and never earn a recall to the indian team. However in that period, Tiwary continued to play domestic cricket and IPL.
Played last IPL In this year
Manoj Tiwary international carrer is too short but he achieved lot of success in the IPL. Tiwary had played total 98 matches in the indian league in which he represented 4 teams (Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Punjab). He played his last IPL match in year 2018.
